Tiny tour

Went to Madison on Thursday, took the long way via Ceder Rapids, LaCrosse and then zig-zagging around SW Wisconsin. I took a bunch of pics, here are a few of my favorites.

In Galina Ill-Noise you can see where Former U.S. President U.S. Grant was hatched

Here is a picture of a bridge over the Upper Mississippi looking East. Yeah, it's only about 20' wide and is nothing but a steel grate looking down. Steep approaches too! If you don't like riding on metal grates with 2 wheels, this bridge is not for you.

Coming off the bridge going West and this is you see upon entering IOWA (Idiots Out Walking Around)

Crashing at a friend's house, my crap unpacked partially. My "bed" is to the right (sleeping bag and pillow laid out on the floor. That area has padded carpet although I've slept on many a wood floor when I marched with the Madison Scouts Drum & Bugle Corps back in the 80's.

Helmet goes into helmet bag to protect the visor in case anyone might trip over my crap. Some people don't know why anyone would use a helmet sock. I don't like scratches in my helmet, but especially the visor. The sock goes on the helmet fairly soon after it comes off of my head.
